First of all: GRATZ to Lible for getting level 50! As you all probably know, Lible is being played by Meany nowadays, while the old Lible is now Rullnox, so a little bit of gratz to him too :) Also, I've made it past 1100 Armorcrafting today, go me! 8) Hmm, there was something else I was going to mention, but I can't remember.. Two Officers have created new alts today: Leip and Fiestie (Grilf) and Midda (Thorden), new face, same person behind it :) On a sad note: Spoke decided to leave our guild and go completely guildless. Read more about it here. GOA has announced that the next patch will be 1.54. No ETA has been given yet, but it will probably take a while, as it is a fairly large patch. That's it for now.. Have fun! ;) |

The long awaited...Friday News Sorry for the delay with this.. like Drolin, I've had a hectic week :-( exams, interviews and the rest of it... well, lets get on with it :-) Starting 2 weeks ago.. cos of the missed week Guild hunts... many have occured.. at least 6 that I've attended, and I expect more 'smaller' ones (only in group size :->). With a decent group you can take alot of things.. especially the daunting WoW's that roam about Raumarik. Many people got drops, all of the best quality :-). And I hope more are arranged in the near future. Hunts included: WoW, Revenant, Prince, Princess, and Diamond seals. Thank you to all who attended. RvR ... guild RvR has picked up a little more, even I have started :-) But other people, Tyrkisk, Horned, Kallio, Gama, Archeon, and many many more have been spotted roaming in Emain, Odin's Gate, and Hadrian's Wall. For those who don't know.. we now have a bind stone in Svausd faste, (nearest healer - Haggerfel, nearest trainers - Vindsaul on horse, Jordheim without.) Crafting... people have started crafting again... We now have 3 1000 plus crafters.. Spoke, Thorarin, and Shaniah. With others high on their tails... Arakiss, Thorden, Grilf, and a few others (can't remember.. sorry). Unfortunately, Jimli, one of Midgard's institutions, has quit and deleted his chars (news on the forum). However.. I hope you were getting all your weapon needs from our beloved Weaponsmith, Shaniah :-). If you weren't... get started, she charges fairly, and gets stuff done pronto. In case (only in case) you need something very fast.. I believe Indra and Hadrach.. remember only use these in a last emergency ;-). Ranks... yes, Ranks are IN! If you need a promotion, please contact a Jarl. The new Huscarl rank should be in whenever the web feactures can cope with it. A little explanation... Jarls - old Huscarl and Jarl. Huscarls - 'elected' officer, on a 2 week tennure. Criers - old criers. Realm Explorer - RR3+ char. Realm Defender - level 40+ or main is an Explorer. Emissary - not another rank. Runner - recruit. The guild meeting... this is possibly the saddest part of the post.. unfortunately there was a very poor attendance to the guild meeting. I will post more about it next time, but read the motd. Topics discussed in the meeting : FoM alliance, Ranks, Webby. Please check the motd regulary, and the site as well. Various people made 50: Munkey and Horned. I think thats all.. a big Congratulations to them both :-) (you know who you are The patch went live.. along with respecs, and many did respec .. I hope you made the right choice :-). The respec bug is now fixed. Please look on the Camelot Europe page for more info (I gotta learn how to do hyperlinks correctly in HTML :-> ). On the other side of the atlantic.. SC and Alchemy went live, with a host of other things.. Dueling etc. Look on the Camelot Herald for more info there. And the SI has almost reached open beta.. with the NDA lifted. |

As you've probably been told at our guild meeting last Saturday, we've started promoting people to their new ranks according to the recent changes in guild structure. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there myself, but don't be surprised to see Realm Defenders and Realm Explorers walking around :) If you think you qualify for one of these 2 new ranks, PM one of the officers to get your promotion. Also, a big GRATZ to Munkey on getting to level 50, I hope we'll continue to see Grilf from time to time as well though :) |

The Friday News... The week started out a little slow... patch day was announced and various guild matters were finalised.. including the ranks and the new alliance with Fellowship of Midgard and Legends of Midgard. The new rank structure should add some spice to the guild, all info can be found on the forum, on the two posts present there.. take a min to look at them, it's quite intresting reading... hopefully the website features will be in by the end of this week, in time for the ranks to be instigated at the next meeting. Yes, a guild meeting! Read down for more info on it! The new alliance with Fellowship of Midgard and Legends of Midgard is now in operation, a few more folk will be able to use alliance chat, etc, with the new ranks, however for the moment, the old system is in play :-(. The alliance should give us the ability to have hunts large enough to take out most high level mobs, enough people to talk to for realm info, and some good friends along the way. Please treat members of FoM and LoM with the same respect you treat each other.. (not how you treat me :->). Gorre testing for the new patch was highly amusing, with some of Tiwaz venturing into some quite obscure specs, while others testing out what they wanted to respec to. With our guild group, we managed to devastate most in duels, obviously cheating in places... (who's heard of a healer with pbt...) it was a great evening, with fun thrown in from Kemor and the other Devs. A dragon in Emain?? are you mad, no, it's Gorre! The final patch went smothly, all servers were updated to 1.52 by the end of wednesday, for our fun. Many people respeced, but had worked out EXACTLY what they wanted to do, so it wasn't an issue, and we have some chars who have actually been spotted RvRing! Still some people are shying away... but we hope we can sort that out with the guild RvR planned by Agreiloth later this week (please look at the post on the table.). The Guild Meeting, to be held next saturday! Congratulations to all those who leveled, with a heads up to Tyrkisk and Horned, on hitting the big 50! On crafting news... Spoke hit 1000 skill, keep on going! Send your orders to Him / Thorarin. We need a guild fletcher for repairs / staffs etc, anyone who signs up for the job, and gets to 500 skill will be given a plat by me :-) After claiming Fensalir on Sunday (or whenever) it was taken again, and is now under FoM control, anyone with an estate agent's number... pass it onto me. Gorre is now a PvP server... there are several Tiwaz playing there.. afraid I don't know any names, but there should be a little info on the Forums in the near future. Remember, your conduct there is as important as your conduct on Excalibur. Archeon has invented some taxes.. please pay no attention to him if he demands em :-) I've got a little coin bucket at my feet allways, hand it over! (If you have spair coin, think of our crafters, any coin = good news) RvR wise.. little new has happened... people been killing other people, heads rolling, the usual. Kallio and Thorden had an amusing time in Bledmeer this evening, killing around 2fg of albs with a 2 man team, congrats to them! Again, thank you for reading. See you in game, Munkey Blue out! |

Just a note on respeccing, please do not respec if u have any doubts about it (use Gorre to test). GOA have said they will not reverse any respecs so you could ruin your good character. Added to this make sure , if u choose to respec that you put ur points where u want and dont overspend. NB what is shown in the specialisation window from your trainer is the cost of the ability and not the skill you have. In order to get your actual skill take 1 from the figure shown. |

Tomorrow is patch-day! The production servers will be patched to version 1.52 on Wednesday. Patching will start at 8 AM with the French servers, after which the English servers will be updated. All servers are scheduled to be back up in the middle of the afternoon. Another comment on respeccing: while a little test of mine showed that I retained points gained from autotrain when using /respec all, GOA says you will lose them all. When going for a new specialization, don't count on the autotrain too much beforehand. |

Congratulations to Tyrkisk (Spaz) for getting the big level 50, good job! :)His epic quest still needs to be done, so don't hesitate to help out if you've got the time ;) Gorre has been switched to English today, so do some testing while you can. If you're planning to respec, do so on Gorre and try it out. If you like it, you can do the same respec on the live servers later.. To play on Gorre, you need to download the 1.52 patch. To do this, make a copy of your DAoC directory and replace the update.dat with this one. Run camelot.exe in the copied directory and the patch will be downloaded and applied. When the patch day comes, you can start using this directory for the live servers as well, if you don't want to redownload. |

I have some rather bad news.... :(
My main computer (the one i'm capable of playing DAoC on) burned down this night, i can't seem to get it to work, but am still trying. This means you won't be seing me ingame until i get the new parts i need for my computer, i sadly don't know how long that is gonna take cause i'm rather busy with homework atm, and don't even know what parts died... I will try as much as time allows me to get the machine to work again so i can join you guys, but until then good luck =) Villy P.S Gjefnal and Ralgedi... relax on those rlm pts while i'm away.. I don't want you guys to get too far ahead :-) |

Spoke is back from holiday (well, he has been for a couple of days) and has been promoted to Crier after having been voted on some time ago. Congratulations Spoke :) From now on, you can bug him for alt invites or problems you might have with other people. The same goes for all the other Officers and Criers of course... On a tradeskill note: I finally passed 1000 armorcrafting. (1013 at the moment), which means I can now make a good deal of the Arcanium armors. I'm still working on it to be able to make the rest of it, for which I will need about 1095 skill. Things are getting more and more expensive though, and funds are running kinda low, so donations are welcome. With Spoke not far behind we'll be able to make some very nice base armors for when we get Spellcraft and Alchemy :) Also, read Grilf's Friday News post if you haven't already, it's just below here :) READ IT! :-) |

As a new approach to keep everyone informed, I'm starting a 'Friday News' posting system. Where the events of last week are collated for all to read (and laugh at). However, for this to work well, I need all your help. Thorarin should be adding a new board to the forum, which I will add topics, and you can respond to (nifty, eh?). If you want good news, every time something intresting happens, log off and post about it. From all your tidbits, I'll try to post something whitty, or at least intresting post in the main news column. Well, here goes issue 1 :-). The Friday News: The FoM hunt, killing the prince... woot to all involved, various items were gained by all, Drolin gained a sweet braclet, Agrelioth gained a sweet 2h axe. The lottery was a little suspect, but hey.. we all learn from our mistakes, and I hope we can do this with FoM again in the future. We got a new level 50 healer, Archeon, he's 40 mend, 29 pac, 21 aug. (His level 40 rez is sweet.. even though with his slow arms, he takes a few eons to cast it.) Congrats to him! Drolin organised a Diamond hunt. However it didn't work out that well :-( with an early death to the knights, he'll try to sort out his little seal issue later this week (pester him for the rest of his lil' life for them!) Onto RvR, it was a profitable week for tiwaz, with around 340k rps earned for Tiwaz, maintaining our position of 16th in the Mid Guild RP table, but closing the gap between Morbid Angels (now Frozen) and us. Well done all! Other news... the patch is still coming, testing on the French version continues, with the German version due any time now, and then the English shortly after... leaving the exact date of the patch still unknown. :-( More news as I get it. The American severs are getting 1.54 and alchemy/spellcrafting, it should reach us around x-mas, a nice gift, :-) (well, all except the casters..) As I said again... Respec is not your friend, make sure you know exactly what you are doing Thank you for reading, Grilf. |

GOA has sent a mailing to everyone regarding the 1.52 patch that will soon go live on all European servers. It contains some important advise regarding the respec option and you are well advised to read it if you haven't already. The complete text can be found here. Just to add to this... some quotes from Zargar : We are running a little "DO NOT RESPEC" campaign and this will continue till the patch. Basically, the message is that "YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RESPEC!!". Mythic had soooo many problems with that, we don't want to have the same here. Everyone respecced, 1/2 of them were pissed by their new spec, 1/2 of them left, or something like that. Email, message in game, message on website, in patch note, everything to make players understand that "respec is NOT your best friend!" Feel free to share the message with everyone, because respec can really screw up your character good, and we will NOT revert. Thanks for reading :-) - Grilf |

A big 'gratz' to Archeon for making it to level 50! Thanks to Amaterasu, Gama, Tarrasque, Jerelyn for helping out with the epic quests once again, along with myself :) On a technical note: a few minor fixes were made to the forum, long threads were not properly divided into multiple pages.. |
