BIG congratulations to Thorarin for dinging 1165 Armorcrafting today, currently the highest skill in Armorcrafting. He might not be the first in Midgard, but he sure is the fist in Tiwaz. Congratulations Mate :)

On another note, a big welcome back to both Skiro and Arcaan (currently known as Mountaintroll). Who both have been dedicating their time to Real Life issues the past months. hope you will enjoy the changes in guild and game. :)

Connection problems to European servers
At the moment you will be unable to connect to the update server or the Camelot Europe website. If your game starts downloading patches, cancel them ASAP as you're being patched to the US version of the game.

If you were patched to the US version by mistake, you need to download one of these archives and unpack the content to your DAoC/SI directory (overwrite existing file). You will need Winzip or similar unless you run Windows XP:
update.dat (Classic)
update.dat (Shrouded Isles)

If you do this properly, you should be patched back to the European version when the servers are reachable again.

To play now (experienced users):
To play while the update server is down, you will need Windows 2000 newer, and create an excalibur.bat in your DAoC directory containing:

game.dll 193.252.123.33 10622 YourGameLogin YourPassword

Save the new file and run it, you should connect directly to Excalibur, circumventing the patch server.

First of all: belated congratulations to Dalekon for finally dinging level 50! And that without setting a foot into Lair, nicely done :) We helped finish his epic quests yesterday, so Jerelyn can have her borrowed set back :)

After some problems with his account, Hjakold has gained his promotion to Emissary today and is now a full fledged member. Welcome again, Hjakold 8)

With regard to the subscription pages: I've been told subscription passwords are being sent at the moment. It will take a while for everyone to get their passwords, so if you don't have it yet, don't panic. If you received your game password, you should receive your subscription password without problems.

The procedure of sending the GAME Passwords ended yesterday evening around 22H00. All accounts received a new password, even the closed ones. For security reasons we didn't want to add the login in the mail with your new password. So if you have several accounts, you have received several mails, and all you have to do is use the correct login with the corresponding password.

If you have not received your password (for instance if your email indicated in your profile was not correct), as this is the case for several hundred players, you will have to write to subscription@goa.com when it reopens, specifying your personal information (name, address…), as well as your Game login. Your IDs will be sent to you via post mail. This email address is for the moment saturated, but we are working on restarting the customer support and subscription section as quickly as possible.

Moreover, it is possible that you have not received your password yet, because of a maintenance of your mail provider. The last worm attacks (MsBlast and So Big) required interventions for many ISPs and mail providers, and this can have caused delays in the email.

After some chaos around some hacking in the European Dark Age of Camelot system, things are slowly returning to normal.
GOA has assigned people new game passwords, most of which should be delivered by now via e-mail.
Subscription passwords will also be changed, you will receive them later this week, after which the Account page on the DAoC Europe website should come back online.

If you don't receive any passwords in the coming days because you didn't keep the e-mail information in your account info valid, you will need to e-mail GOA at subscription@goa.com after all this is over, after which GOA will get situation sorted. Instructions from GOA itself will probably follow when regular Customer Support is resumed. Don't bother mailing now, the address is reported to be invalid for the moment.
