Today(23/9) i got terrible news. i found out that mythic is developing Imperator a PvE mmorpg in an alternative future where rome has control over earth and som dozens of more planets. now i got nightmares for the rest of my time with DAoC. and yes i know this is a DAoC guild forum and not a "Imperator" forum.

Mythic won't drop DAoC if thats what your worried about

DAoC is what you would call a 'Cash Cow' its a popular and established brand and unless somthing apocolyptic happens and there is a mass exodus of players its going to keep providing Mythic with money. Cash cows are good things, no company. Not even a shit-for-brains company is going to get rid of a cash cow if they can't help it. Besides, Mythic have stated a couple of times now that they will keep patching DAoC as long as there are people playing it. One day it will die out, but that won't be for a Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time yet.


If on the other hand you were thinking of playing Imperator, I wouldn't worry either I don't think its going to be released anytime soon (though if your like me and remember this sort of dumb-shit there's been a link to the Imperator website for a while now... like pretty much the first time I ever went there, so I think its been in development for a while :D)

i will not ph43r Imperator coz its going to be a PvE game(everquest is that kinda game? or not?).I like the system thats in DAoC. PvP and RvRvR here in europe side.

Thats right, swed's arn't as important as the british for some reason. We conquered half the known world and had slaves, we've earned our right to force our time-zone and language on other cultures :P

eh sweden was once in the history a powerfull countrie and ph43red in the battlefield. once we had finland, norway, denmark, estonia, latvia and lithuania under our kings hand i think polen to.... and when whe where vikings we made raids in england, russia, and many other countries and where ph43red then to. but now we are fat bleach white ppl who drink beeer and hunt elks in the forests. damn i can still remember the old times(1000years old)

I used to play EverQuest for 4 years before i started DAoC and omg yes that is a complete PvE MMORPG. I must say that the "DAoC-concept" is much more entertaining. but thats me.
Right now i just wish that i had the time to be in emain and throw in a few leeching arrows here and there ;)

DAoC is the only and first mmorpg i ever played and its fin with the RvRvR and PvP. but in the us theres a PvE server.... it could be fun to try that here on europe side of the blue/green and little bit white ball. and btw i realy cant say anything bad on the other mmorpgs. exept SWG that sux and feels like Svasud faste x2000

I think the Imperator setting is kind of interesting, even though I'm more into the medieval fantasy setting, so to say. However it being a PvE game means it will have to be pretty d*mn good PvE to keep me interested..

I might try it for a bit when it's finally released.
