On a different server!

Kalba came up with the idea.

We can make a BG farming group on say...some silly French or German...or even Prydwen.

The Idea is, we join Albion or Hibernia, tbh I don't care which, we /level to 20, do some limited PvE till 24, and we wtfpwn BG =)

Any ppl in for some fun? Some overcrowded French server would be nice, slap zze frenchiiz =)

Im in too :D would be helluwa fun!

And as some old schmuck once said "Know thy enemy" !!!

Which i think would be a VERY good idea, the more you know how albs/hibs work the more you know about their weaknesses.

So YES lets do this! I dont care which realm, as long as we ALL play same realm on different servers...

I've made a sorcerer on Broceliande by the name of Toast. Anyone up to join?

We could further use: A 2nd sorc for backup mezzing, mincer for speed and backup mezzing and leave the 2nd sorc then ;p

A cleric or 2 for heals, pally for buffs....damn i know my alb classes bad ;p

Someone gifv suggestions. Perhaps some cabalist and wizzies and thuergs because we all know how #^@*# annoying they can be.

Would be nice to have someone who knows alb a bit already, because it's all in frikkin french =))

Cleric's have healer's mend lines, and shamans buff lines, and thane-like 3rd line, pally is sort of like the skald, a chant clas with dmg add chant, AF chant, Heal chant (+xxhp every 6 secs) and END REGEN chant ;)

As a very rough guide, the core classes we'd need would be:

Mind sorc
Chant/shield/slash paladin (or crush)
Enhance/rejuv cleric
Rejuv/xxx cleric (maybe replacable by a friar with decent rejuv)
Mincer
Necro (nice for power replienishment, VERY nice for reducing AF to less than half(Deathsight spec of/c))

Then fill it up with damage dealers

Armsman/Merc/Reaver/Friar/maybe inf or scout, any of them for melee dmg dealers, listed in average dmg output, high to low
Ice wizard for pbae
fire wiz/body sorc/air theurg/smite cleric(hey, it might work, few extra heals in a tight situation) for standard DD's
Matter Cabby for AE dot

And no, paladins dont have buffs ;) they have a self AF buff, and their chants :)

How the hell can a pally have all those things???
+ they have plate, and hit like a mountain (hard)

Ohhhh i really feel cool as skald.... GIVF END and/or POWER song !!!!

P.S. Ill make a friar! Drunken friar...

K, description of each class...

Armsman:

baseclass = fighter

Quite similar to the warrior, they are the heavy tank of Albion except..
No evade 1, instead they get Plate armour, higher ABS and AF
Have to spec Polearm or Two handed weapon to us a 2H, aswell as speccing the weapon type(polearm or 2h) they have to spec the base damage type. So to use a slash polearm, you have to spec Slash, and Polearm. In return for this, they get a better bonus for using 2h weapons.
Crossbow spec instead of thrown weapon

----------------------

Cabalist:

baseclase = mage

Primary pet class of albion.
I'll do a little thing about each spec line...

Matter baseline:
Single target DoT, similar to shaman's
Single target Dex debuff, like RM/SM/BD's get

Matter spec line:
Pet focus damage shield, like SM's
Single target and AE DoT, these stack with the baseline one, for some nice damage
Nearsight, like Sup runies get

Body baseline:
Single target lifetap, like dark SM's spec for
Str debuff, like RM/SM/BD's get
Single target root

Body specline:
Single target lifetap, similar damage to baseline, but with higher life returned
Attack speed debuff, like healers/SM's get
Single target/AE disease, like shammies get baseline
Lifetrasfer, removes HP from caster and gives it to the target, coupled with lifetap, cabbies can be an ok backup healer in a pinch

Spirit baseline:
Summon pet, summons a pet, like the SM's, buteach version has a different power:
1) amber, procs a stun like SM's one do
7) ruby, nuking pet, casts fire DD
12) saphire,pet who procs a lifetap in combat
20) emerald, melee pet who can insta cast dot + disease while meleeing
pet buffs: str, and dex
pet heal

Spirit specline:
several pet buffs: Dmg add, haste, str/con, qui/dex, run speed buff (lvl 25)
at spec 3 you get a spell to unsommon the pet to gain mana, chain casting this and the summon spell gives a quick way to refill your mana bar
ST/AOE snare
body/spirit/energy resist debuffs

------------------------

Cleric

baseclass = acolyte

The cleric is the main healer and buffer of Albion
Rejuv is the mend line, Enhance is the aug line, smite is the damage line

Rejuvination baseline:
Small heal
Medium heal
rez
group heal

Rejuv specline:
Same as healer's mend line ;)

Enhance baseline
same as shaman/healers baseline aug: str, con, dex, AF buffs

Enhance specline:
Str/con buff
Qui/dex buff
Acuity buff
body/spirit/energy resist buffs
^^ these are the same as shamans get, now for the cleric's other specline buffs...
Spec AF buff, goes beyond the normal AF cap..
Heal reactive proc group buff (not til lvl 29)
health regen buff, like a conc based version of friggs, but LOW value
self DPS buff, like savages get, but 10 min duration

Smite baseline:
Stun, similar to healer's baseline one
DD, lowish vaue, 3 sec cast time

Smite specline:
Self damage add, same damage as thane's one
Insta PBAE mez, 5 minute recast
Specline DD, same cast time and damage as supp RM's DD, without the snare
AE DD, similar to thanes'
insta PBAEDD same as thanes, maybe slightly higher dmg

----------------------

Friar

baseclass = acolyte

They have the same baseline Enhance and Rejuv as the cleric so i won't bother listing that. The friar is an offensive melee healer, with the 2h bonus from staff, the decent growth rate on styles, and self haste buff, they can do some nice melee damage, and also drop back and heal decently when needed. They are stuck in leather, but get a decent amount of evade.

Rejuv specline:
3rd tier ST heal
group HOT (24 spec), reverse of a DoT, better than friggs ;)

Enhance specline:
Self AF buff, goes above the normal AF cap
Self end regen, only end2, but its almost free
Self haste shout, high value, 30 seconds every 3 minutes
Insta taunt shout, overpowered on savage, but not on an alb class! :)
Self End cost reduction buff
heat/cold/matter resist buffs, like shammy's

----------------------

Infiltraitor

Baseclass = rogue

SB with dual weild instead of left axe (good thing with low spec :P), more skill points, and choice of damage type, slash or thrust. Able to use crossbow, otherwise no real difference.

------------------------

Mercenary

baseclass = fighter

Merc is very similar to the zerker, with a few differences
No beserk skill, Dirty tricks instead. 30 sec abilty which lets you proc a debuff, which gives the enemy a high chance to miss/fumble their attacks for 10 secs.
Dual weild instead of Left axe.
The dual weild mechanic is slightly different to the Lft axe one. with LA, you always swing both hands, but for reduced damage, based upon LA spec. Also the off hand's weaponskill is based off LA spec.
With Dual Weild, you always swing your mainhand(when styling anyway), and your off hand has a chance to swing based on your DW spec. The DW swing for 100% damage, no reduction like left axe.
As DW's off hand WS is based upon the weapon's spec, you have to use the same weapon type for each hand, be it Slash, Crush or Thrust.
Merc's also get Shield spec... should you feel that way inclined.
They also have chain instead of studded, but evade 1 instead of evade 3.
Oh, they get short bow's too...

-------------------------

Minstrel

Baseclass = rogue

The minstrel... 'the most ballanced class in the game' they say... well.
Minstrel is Albion's music class, like the skald. Unlike the skald, they require instruments for some songs.
I'll list the different songs/spells they get from speccing instruments:

SONGS/CHANTS

Speed song: same as skalds, but requires the DRUM to be weilded.
Group health regen song: Same as skalds, but requires the LUTE to be weilded.
Power regen: same sort of thing as PoM, but a song, and requires the DRUM.
Mez song: When this is played, whenever you have someone in target for 3 seconds, they are mezzed for the listed duration PLUS the duration bonus the level of instrument imbues, about 15 secs for a lvl 24 instrument. Requires the FLUTE. note, you can move about freely while playing this, aslong as you remain in range and LOS of whoever you are trying to mez at the time.
Charm: charm song, you can charm anything up to a red mob with this, aslong as your insrument spec and +instrument is higher than the mob level, and you are able to spam the song button (it has a %chance to resist, but no recast timer, and is insta cast, and once it lands, the mob is charmed for 8 seconds. Requires NO instrument.

SPELLS

AE mez: 5 second cast time, not very high duration
Insta stun: similar duration to healer's, on a 10 sec recast timer.
Insta DD's: 2 of these, each on a 15 sec recast, pretty much the same as skalds'
Insta confusion: same as sup RM's, but insta
Group ablaive chant, not gained til spec 30
demez, not til spec 27

Then you can put your other points into slash/thrust, and stealth. As we're gunna be a group, i'd suggest foregoing stealth, and speccing slash.

-----------------------------

Necromancer

Baseclass = desciple

This is a unique pet class, when you summon it, you become invulnerable, until the pet is killed.
The only viable spec line is deathsight, here's what a deathsight necro gets:

Deathsight baseline:
Lifetap, Cast by THE PET
medium value AF debuff, Cast by THE PET
Pet dex buff

Deathsight Specline:
Lifetap, Cast by THE NECRO (who is uninteruptable)
PowerDrain, Cast by THE PET, does damage to the target, and gives power to the necro, power returned in PVE = level of the mob, in RVR = 1/2 the damage done.
Power Transfer, Cast by THE PET, gives some of the necros mana to the target, which the necro can quickly regain with powertap.
Extreme value AF Debuff, Cast by THE PET, at lvl 22 this will remove about 150AF, and stacks with the baseline one. It means any melee attack will pretty much hit for cap damage.

Baseline from other lines (so unspecced)
Insta Pet MOC, uninteruptable pet for 6 seconds every 30 secs.
Insta con debuff
50% snare
pet heal over time
pet str buff

The necro can be a little hard to play, due to an odd method of casting, but wil a little practice its easy.
Basicaly, the necro can AF debuff the target, so melee's can rip it to shreds, and then use the power tap and power transfer to keep the cleric (and casters) at full mana, to help reduce downtime.

--------------------------------
Paladin

Baseclass = fighter

The paladin, the melee PvE'rs wet dream ;)
Highest AF in the game, etc :)
They have elements of the skald (dmg add and resist chants), but also have plate armour, shield and parry spec and 2 handed spec (needs to be specced in base damage line too).

The paladin's unique line, Chants, gives the following:

Self AF buff, goes above the normal armour AF cap
Group AF chant, stacks with self AF buff, goes above normal AF cap
Group damage add chant, same as skalds
Group end regen chant, consumes a little mana, but same value as shaman's
Instant Taunt, same as the one savages had before it got nerfed
Group heal chant, when in combat, this chant heals around 30hp to each group member, every 6.5 secs
rez (not til spec 30)

Its best to have high chants and shield, and decent slash/crush. speccing 2 handed as a paladin is a contradiction in terms tbh, and a waste of spec points, if you want 2h damage, spec polearm armsman ;)

--------------------------------

Reaver

Baseclass = fighter

The reaver is, basicaly, the anti-paladin.
The have chants which weaken the enemy, they have some insta DoT's, and an insta lifetap/ lifetap proc. But the main feature is the Flexible weapon line.
Like the savage's H2H, its positional based, and allows them to do some very nice damage when allowed to get their positions. Unfortunatly most of these styles are higher than lvl 24 spec, but its still a nice class ;)

----------------------

Scout

Baseclass = rogue

The scout is pretty much the same as the hunter, with a few changes...

No spear or beast craft lines, instead they get slash or thrust, and shield. This allows them to guard group memebers, and engage enemy archer's. The scouts have the highest bow-weapon skill of the archer classes, aswel as the highest range bows. They also have sloer bows than hunters, to allow for some nice damage with Crit Shot.

----------------------

Sorcerer

Base class = mage

Claimed to be the most powerful caster in the game...

Back to the old spell line listing...

Matter baseline:
Single target DoT, similar to shaman's
Single target Dex debuff, like RM/SM/BD's get

Matter Specline:
Spec ST DoT, stacks with baseline
ST and AE Qui/Dex debuffs
Snare DD, Same dmg and cast time as the Sup RM one

Body baseline:
Single target lifetap, like dark SM's spec for
Str debuff, like RM/SM/BD's get
Single target root

Body Specline:
Spec DD, same damage as the dark RM's best nuke
ST and AE root
AE qui/dex debuff
Heat/Cold/Matter resist debuffs

Mind Baseline:
ST mez
ST confuse
ST/AE amnesia
Sure Mez
group speed buff

Mind Specline
100% level pet charm, any type of creature
AE Str/con debuff
Bolt Range, 350 radius, long duration mez
Healer style PoM
Self/group Determination (higher spec)

Either 24 mind for the 44sec AE mez, or 15 mind(for 33 sec AE mez and pom 2), 18 body, for little varience one the baseline lifetap, would be viable.

-------------------

Theurgist

Baseclass = elementalist

Theurgs have PBT in earth spec, but since thats at 26 earth, we wont be able to have that for bg1, the only thing you will get out of earth is the cute little earth pets... un CCable, ok damage, low HP...
Or you could go Air, DD with same damage as dark RM's best DD, short duration AE mez, and air pets which can chain stun.

They also get a high value dmg add, run speed chant, and haste buff baseline.

I'd recomend 22Air, rest earth if you want to play a theurg for BG1, this gives you the best possible DD, with the stun pets, and spec 7 earth pets for unCCable interupters, to mess up enemies healers/casters

------------------------

Wizard

Baseclass = elementalist

For a BG1 wizard, you could either go Ice or Fire.

Ice gives you PBAE DD, AE DD with a slight cold debuff, ST DD with a slight cold debuff, and a ST DD with a snare.

Fire gives you 2 Bolts, high value spec DD, and a nice AE DD.

Either of these could work, but im not sure if PBAE would work well with only one person using it... hmm :P

Guys we don't have to go prydwen, as I said I made my sorc on eerh...well some other server. The reason for not chosing prydwen is because many of you have some nice alts in either hib or alb already, and imo it'd be a waste deleting them. So we go for silly french.
