I have a healer that i want to try and see if i like the class, but now i wonder how to spec him, Can someone explain to me how a mend healer and a pac healer differ, please. And is there a prefered race when doing a healer? And how to distribute the points you get when doing /level 20

Difference in pac healer, mend healer, or hybrid healer (hybrid healers are the kind that dont go over 40 with either mend or pac) the pac one saves people by disabeling opponents (mezzing and stunning, ae or single) allowing his group to gang up on one at the time. Mend healers throw awesome heals, the spread heal is really great. and hybrid have well, nice mezzes and stuns and also nice heals, but arnt as good at either of it then the pac or mend.

Anyway, this is how i see it. hope it helps a bit

Few viable healer specs:

31mend 44pac:

55% st instaheal
50% group instaheal
1st spreadheal
best AE-mezz
single target insta mezz and stun
PoM 4 (purity of Contemplation)
10sec AE stun
Insta AE mezz
Insta AE stun

40mend, 36 aug:

Yellow speed (speed 4)
100% rezz, 100%hp 50% power Halves rezz illness
2nd spreadheal
Better instaheals.
2 16% resists buffs and 1 8% resist buff


You can also drop mend to 39 and get 37aug to get all 16% resists.

Also, mend healer is an easier classtype to play than a Pac one. There´s also less responsibility. a bit silly to put these like this on paper because now the pac healer seems to have much more assests, the difference is only that what place you´ll take in the group. an RvR group needs 2 healers, (or even 3) take your pick.

Tbh i really don't see the fun in a healer...i want damage instead. So shammie for the win :-)
Now go roll a tank instead...i need someone to guard at TG raids instead of being lone with 7 healers in a fg :-)

But i have a level 50 Thane and a level 46 Bonedancer Bone Army spec. So i want to try a helaer also =) nothing wrong in that i think =) Thanks for the nice help here. Now i have to decide whatr type of healer i will aim to be =)

Have decided that i will only play around in the BG1 with the healer. Just to still my curiousity for the class thats all. And do not do it for TE iam testing the class for me self. Think i will not level this healer beyond level 24 =) hope that is explain alot. Been curious on the healer class a long time now.

More healurrsfortehwin! W000h0000! Hey guys, be more supportive, maybe later, when people find out that all healer groups are UBER in RvR (and Midgard only shows up with healers, nothing else accepted) he will whine at you guys for not having a healer. Anyway I agree with thor about the 31/44 spec. That's a LOSER spec. But hey, what does a big fat troll know about healurs? ;p

And further...despite of what I said earlier. I agree with kindar and the rest...we do have ALOT of level 50 healers, and healers upcoming, so we'll be ok about the healers atm I think.
