sorry.. i don't know that much about irc either, but.. at the statusbar, you should type this:
/server irc.quakenet.org:6667
then
/join #tiwaz
then you could be lucky ending up in our guild channel :)

Or find Options -> Connect, chose Quakenet in the IRC Network dropdown box.

Chose Quakenet: Random Server in the dropdown just below it.

In the Full Name field write your name (or something else, its not important) - write in an emailaddress that works.

In Nickname, write the name you would like to be called on IRC - and chose an alternative incase the first one already exists on the network :)

After that, hit Connect to IRC Server
Then the status window opens, and you type in /join #tiwaz - and you are all set.

If you like, I could send you my IRC script (and change it with your settings ;) )

In my humble opinion the one I tweaked is far more soothing to look at, than that default white background/black text/ theme.

Sure, you'd probably have to explain to me how i get it to work though ^_^

Naah.. all you need to know is how to doubleclick the icon on the desktop - and then how to use a keyboard to chat :)
